Criteria for Admission
Welcome to St. David of Wales Catholic School! We’re delighted that you’re considering joining our community where faith and knowledge meet. Our admissions criteria reflect our commitment to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and socially. Below, you’ll find detailed information on our admissions process and requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
Preschool (Ages 3-4)
Students must be 2 years and 9 months at the time of enrollment and fully toilet trained.
Age Requirements
Kindergarten (Age 5)
Students must be five (5) years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
First Grade (Age 6)
Students must be six (6) years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
An official birth certificate as proof of age must be presented at the time of registration.
Academic Readiness
For students entering grades 1-8, we assess academic readiness through recent report cards, teacher recommendations, and an entrance assessment to ensure proper grade placement and a strong fit with our curriculum.
Entrance exams will be scheduled in February 2025 for the 2025-26 school year.
Spiritual Commitment
While we welcome families from all faith backgrounds, St. David School is rooted in Catholic teachings and values. Families are expected to support the religious education provided, which includes participation in school-wide Masses, prayers, and service projects.
