Financial Aid and Scholarships
Family Aid Catholic Education (FACE) provides need-based tuition grants to students who attend Catholic schools in the Diocese of Oakland.
FACE was founded in 1978 and helps students regardless of religion, gender, ethnicity, or citizenship. FACE supports over 700 students every school year. The recent success of our annual Gala and donated funds, increases the number of grants given each year.
The Diocese of Oakland includes 38 elementary and nine (9) secondary Catholic schools throughout the East Bay.

The BASIC Fund
Since 1998, The BASIC Fund has helped over 26,000 students attend private schools by providing need-based scholarships to families across the Bay Area.
Each year, thousands of children receive support through this program—giving families more choices when it comes to their child’s education.
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Awards cover 25% to 75% of tuition costs, up to $2,500 per student each year.
